In memory - Pour rappel
1° VERY IMPORTANT: You already gave us the number of unique AYAs you receive per year in your hospital. That gives us the possible range of the projects we offer at the hospital. Super!
Foundation Against Cancer However, it also asks us about the effective use of the packages, more specifically of the VR package. That info is hugely important to them, to check whether the big investment they made in this VR project is paying off. If not, we could potentially lose support in the future. And that would be a shame. After all, SuperNils still has many ideas to support AYAs with cancer. But without a financial input, we won't succeed. That would mean the end of our operation. And we don't want that to happen!
To that effective range To estimate, we asked upon delivery of the VR boxes to the number by the patients signed documents (approval handling sensitive information) monthly to us deliver. So just 1 figure. Unfortunately, we have to note that only 1 hospital did this. Does that mean the boxes are not used? Are they just sitting in a cupboard somewhere? We hope this is not the case, but at the moment we cannot provide Foundation Against Cancer with any information. And that is very inconvenient.
Therefore, once again this very important call. Please is it possible to monthly the number of documents email us? That way we can pass on an estimate to Foundation Against Cancer and hopefully not lose our project funds! If we receive nothing, should we assume that the VR boxes will not be used? Should we then look for other partner hospitals so that the investment of over 140 000 euros does pay off? Hopefully this is not the case, because we want you as a partner (and especially the AYAs) do not lose! Thanks in advance for your understanding and fine cooperation in this matter.
2° Hospitals that have the cooperation agreement and the user agreement for the VR case have not yet returned signed, should please put this in order as soon as possible. Of course, adjustments can always be made so that the agreements are tailor-made for the partner hospital. Any queries can be passed on via email to robert.scheltjens@supernils.be.
1° TRÈS IMPORTANT : Vous nous avez déjà communiqué le nombre d'AYA uniques que vous recevez chaque année dans votre hôpital. Cela nous donne la portée potentielle des projets que nous proposons à l'hôpital. Super !
Cependant, la Fondation contre le Cancer nous demande également d'avoir des informations sur l'utilisation effective des packs, plus précisément du pack VR. Ces informations sont très importantes pour eux afin de vérifier si le gros investissement réalisé dans ce projet VR est réellement rentable. Si ce n'est pas le cas, nous risquons de perdre un soutien financier à l'avenir. Et ce serait dommage. SuperNils a encore beaucoup d'idées pour soutenir les AYA atteints de cancer, mais sans financement, cela ne sera pas possible. Cela pourrait mettre fin à nos activités, et nous ne le voulons absolument pas !
Pour pouvoir estimer cette effective portion, nous avons demandé, lors de la livraison des VR-boxes, de nous transmettre chaque mois le nombre de documents signés par les patients (autorisation de traitement des informations sensibles). Juste un chiffre. Malheureusement, nous constatons que seul un hôpital l'a fait. Cela signifie-t-il que les boxes ne sont pas utilisées ? Sont-elles simplement rangées quelque part dans un placard ? Nous espérons que non, mais pour l'instant, nous ne pouvons pas fournir d'informations à la Fondation contre le Cancer. Et c'est très problématique.
C'est pourquoi nous lançons à nouveau cet appel très important. Serait-il possible de nous envoyer mensuellement le nombre de documents signés ? Ainsi, nous pourrons fournir une estimation à la Fondation contre le Cancer et, espérons-le, ne pas perdre nos financements de projet !
Si nous ne recevons rien, devons-nous supposer que les VR-boxes ne sont pas utilisées ? Devons-nous alors chercher d'autres hôpitaux partenaires pour que l'investissement de plus de 140 000 euros soit rentabilisé ? Nous espérons que ce ne sera pas le cas, because nous ne voulons pas vous perdre en tant que partenaire (et surtout pas les AYA !).

New - nouvelles idées
1° Now that we also operate across the language border, we want to make our VR project expand by French-language information. For this, we need your help. If you, as a hospital, would like to participate in this project, please pass this on to robert.scheltjens@supernils.be. We then consider which questions are important and who can answer them (video via mobile phone). In this way, we also offer our French-speaking patients the necessary support.
2° In function of the Symposium for AYAs which we plan to launch in 2027, we are going to try to establish a partnership with FLAYA. This will make it easier to reach the right target group.
3° We want a online box develop with poetry. Movies of people reading poems, just to relax and enjoy.
1° Projet VR en français
Nous voulons étendre notre projet VR aux patients francophones. Si votre hôpital souhaite participer, merci de contacter robert.scheltjens@supernils.be. Nous verrons quelles questions sont importantes et qui peut y répondre via une courte vidéo sur smartphone.

Nous explorons un partenariat avec FLAYA pour mieux atteindre le public cible.

Ongoing projects - Projets en cours
1° Nilspire Me: the first part of the application has already been developed and is now being tested. It deals with the chat function, which patients will be able to use to connect with each other. During February, we will receive our project funds from DWW and the development can continue. To bring everything in line with GDPR regulations and thus offer a secure app, we are partnering with Berchem-based law firm Caluwaert-Uytterhoeven. The high cost will be paid for through DWW's project funds and own budgets.
2° VR project: We continue to look for new 360° videos (fairy tale walk Brasschaat, ballet performance) and additional information (French-speaking). New games (ideas always welcome) will also be added, via sponsorship.
3° Movement case: the additional materials will be ordered and delivered soon. Please be patient.
1° Nilspire Me
La première partie de l'application (chat pour mettre les patients en contact) est en test. Dès février, avec les fonds DWW, le développement se poursuivra. Pour garantir la sécurité et la conformité RGPD, nous travaillons avec le cabinet d'avocats Caluwaert-Uytterhoeven.
2° Projet VR :
Nous continuons à rechercher de nouvelles vidéos à 360° (promenade contée à Brasschaat, spectacle de ballet) ainsi que des informations supplémentaires en français. De nouveaux jeux (vos idées sont toujours les bienvenues) seront également ajoutés grâce au sponsoring.
3° Valise d'activités physiques :
Le matériel supplémentaire sera bientôt commandé et livré. Merci de patienter encore un peu.
AYA meetings - Réunions AYA
1° AYA Sounding Board Group Fight Against Cancer will meet at KOTK's premises in Brussels on Saturday 21 February 2026. SuperNils will be present to explain their operation and solicit feedback from AYAs regarding the VR project and the web application Nilspire Me.

Le groupe se réunira dans les locaux de KOTK à Bruxelles le samedi 21 février 2026. SuperNils sera présent pour présenter ses activités et recueillir les retours des AYA sur le projet VR et l'application web Nilspire Me.
