How it started in 2013 ...

From Nils to SuperNils

Without the great ideas of this amazing young man, SuperNils would not exist. Curious about his story?

Brief presentation of our service

Note: not all pages can be consulted just like that. Some sections require a login, which is only granted to working members or certain sponsors. If you would like to stay informed about everything, make yourself a "working member" via the orange "I support SuperNils" button in the header of this website (choice 3 = donation of at least 40 euros and free working member) and receive a digital membership card with login.

Companies can obtain a login for their staff via sponsorship (for more details, see under partners - our believers).

Patients from our partner hospitals (but also from other hospitals) are given a free login of non-profit organisation SuperNils. They will also receive the password for the interactive packages.

SuperNilsday

We are going to quietly abandon this initiative and change it to Mental-Boost-Packs, which patients will receive when they are diagnosed. Packages packed with information and links to our interactive boxes!
But of course a small gift is still left inside, just to give a heart! The packets can also be used as a reminder box, to keep certain items from during the treatment.

Interactive packages

Our interactive packs are permanently available at partner hospitals for children, adolescents and young adults (AYAs) in the oncology haematology department. They can borrow them free of charge, to share thoughts
distract from day-to-day concerns. There is
something for everyone: a drawing box, a technique box, a movement box and much more.

Research

Through two university funds "SuperNils" can
individuals and companies donate money in support
of scientific research on leukaemia.
The first fund is associated with the University of Ghent,
the second at the University of Antwerp.
Donations are also tax-deductible.

Information

NPO SuperNils aims to help target group patients, their loved ones, professionals
and inform all other interested parties in detail
About the disease, treatments, investigations,
existing brochures, websites, etc. We do that
via our website, podcast (Leukemia, SuperNils Boostfactory) and Mental-Boost package.
Teachers can also retrieve information
on the website. In addition, members of vzw SuperNils can also contact the organisation by phone for support and possible referral.

Talking groups

From 2024, non-profit organisation SuperNils, together with
pharmaceutical company Servier,
organise discussion groups for loved ones of children, adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer. In a safe
environment they can put their questions on the table and thus learn from each other. To keep these conversations on track, we are taking on non-profit organisation Lost & Co.
The roundtables will also always precede
be through a lecture by a prof, oncoach, nurse or psychologist.
