Asbl SuperNils aims to boost the mental well-being of children, adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer, including through the provision of interactive packages
NPO SuperNils is committed to sustainability
NPO SuperNils supports scientific research into leukaemia through two university funds
NPO SuperNils informs target group patients, their loved ones and professionals through website, podcast, lectures, webinars, trainings and our VR project "Avatar SuperNils knows it all!"
We are a patient organisation, driven and supported by at least 50% relatives of patients with (haematological) cancers
As a patient organisation, we want to have an impact on the quality of life of patients and their loved ones and represent their interests at the policy level
We facilitate a new form of peer contact through our interactive VR project SuperNils SuperVerse. Moreover, we collaborate with drop-in centres, where fellow sufferers can meet each other
We would like to facilitate discussion groups for loved ones of children, adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer, just because there is a NEED for it. One way to do this is through the sounding board groups of the walk-in centres
By 2030, vzw SuperNils aims to support children, adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer in all Belgian reference hospitals and specialised hospitals designated by the government. Jessa Hasselt, Delta Roeselare, Klina Brasschaat, UZ Brussel, ZAS Cadix Antwerp, ZAS Sint Augustinus Wilrijk, ZAS Middelheim Wilrijk and ZAS Jan Palfijn Merksem are added to this list. We are thus aiming for a group of 14 partner hospitals. Moreover, we also cooperate with drop-in centres, such as Casa Callenta, to be able to support and reach the target group more broadly.

Note: not all pages can be consulted just like that. Some sections require a login, which is only granted to members or certain sponsors. If you would like to be kept informed of everything, make yourself an "effective member" via the red "I support SuperNils" button in the footer of this website. You will then receive a login for full access.
Companies can obtain a login for their staff via sponsorship (for more details, see under partners - our believers).
Patients from our partner hospitals (but also from other hospitals) and open-air centres get a free login of non-profit organisation SuperNils. They will also receive the password for the interactive packages.
Fellow sufferers can meet virtually in the SuperNils SuperVerse. Walk together in a fun environment and talk to each other. It can all be done in a safe environment with the VR glasses, which we make available in partner hospitals and drop-in centres.
Our interactive packs are permanently available at partner hospitals and drop-in centres for children, adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer. They can borrow them free of charge, to share thoughts
distract from day-to-day concerns. There is
something for everyone: a drawing package, an engineering box, a movement box, VR package and much more.
Through two university funds "SuperNils" can
individuals and companies donate money in support
of scientific research on leukaemia.
The first fund is associated with the University of Ghent,
the second at the University of Antwerp.
Donations are also tax-deductible.
NPO SuperNils aims to help target group patients, their loved ones, professionals
and inform all other interested parties in detail
About the disease, treatments, investigations,
existing brochures, websites, etc. We do that
via our website, podcast (Leukaemia, SuperNils Boostfactory) and the "Wings of Hope" directory.
Teachers can also retrieve information
on the website.
You are never too old to learn! That is why

For patients, loved ones and interested parties, we make webinars available on various topics.
NPO SuperNils regularly enters into dialogue with young adults with cancer about its offer and possible new projects. This way, we involve our target group in the further tailor-made development of our interactive packages.
We do this in cooperation with Fight Against Cancer (AYAs' Sounding Board Groups) and the walk-in centres (Information Evenings and weekends).
We need you to further professionalise our operation, support more hospitals, reach more patients and offer even more projects.
