In any case, I can recommend non-profit organisation SuperNils. This organisation focuses on the mental well-being of children, adolescents and young adults with (haematological) cancer. Spending weeks or even months in a hospital room, often still in quarantine, increases the pressure on that mental wellbeing. SuperNils tries to take some of this pressure off, by offering all kinds of fun activities. Being able to forget the misery for a while. That is what we do it for!

What is this ESG label anyway?
As we can see in the figure on the right, ESG stands for environmental, social and governance criteria for activities in the company or business, which may have a potential impact on society and the environment.
This means that the company will take into account factors such as energy consumption, climate, availability of raw materials, health, safety and good corporate governance in its operations. It will become increasingly interesting to show the outside world that the company is committed to society and is concerned about the well-being of its employees. The government encourages these steps in the corporate world because, among other things, they lead to innovation and enhanced competitiveness. Moreover, they improve the world and ensure a better and healthier future for children and grandchildren.
NPO SuperNils is keen to help companies and enterprises realise a number of items from the ESG framework. Especially within the "social" and "environmental" pillars, we can certainly do something for each other. See here the three opportunities to work together ...
1° SuperNils developed three sponsorship packages specifically for companies. Each package has a different content. It's up to you to choose which package best suits your company (see further down this page).
2° If you would rather not get into such a sponsorship package, you can still support our organisation by putting financial resources into one of our ongoing or new projects. If you contact vzw SuperNils, we will gladly give you an insight into our project portfolio and together we can see what is possible (see also further on this page).

2° Project support
Support the projects of vzw SuperNils
As a company, but also as an individual, you can support vzw SuperNils by contributing financially to ongoing or new projects.
The pennies will be used to purchase new or additional materials so that yet more patients can be reached and supported. You will, of course, receive insight into the progress of the project and the various purchases made with your pennies. All in full transparency.
You do this support for 1 year, but you are of course free to repeat it annually. As a company or individual, this allows you to tailor your sponsorship entirely to your own financial possibilities and you will not face any surprises.
If you're confident and want to donate the same amount over several years, you're better off choosing our sponsorship packages above.
With this project support, your name will already appear on the SuperNils asbl website, possibly with a link to your company website. You will also receive a tax certificate (for donations of 40 euros or more) OR an invoice for sponsorship. Moreover, you can put our beautiful film clip on your own website, so everyone can see that you support our work.
If you deposit more than 1,500 euros, you will also receive a login for full access to our website. You may share this login with your employees so that they can access all the information on SuperNils asbl.

Foundation Against Cancer is one of the main sponsors of our organisation. Through project funds, for which we always have to submit a dossier, they support various projects of vzw SuperNils. For instance, we received two social grants and a life grant from the Foundation against Cancer, for the elaboration of the VR project, the book tower within the VR project and the virtual dance project "the power of dance and music". Thanks to these funds, we can also enlist professional help to achieve quality realisation.
In 2025, we also already received a lifetime grant for the expansion of our movement project. This will allow us to provide the new partner hospitals with this useful equipment as well.

Among other things, we have engaged a lawyer specialising in GDPR regulations to make our privacy policy completely up to date. A cost that is important, as we value the security of member, patient and sponsor data.
Pharmaceutical company Swedish Orphan Biovitrum (SOBI) chose our sponsorship package with a big heart. So they will enter an amount of 500 euros (excluding VAT) in their accounts for 3 years in a row. Year 1 was deposited in 2024.

NPO SuperNils continues to be Global Charity partner of the well-known LEGO company. Every year, they donate a large quantity of LEGO toys. This used to be put in the goodie bags of SuperNils Day, now the toy cubes are put together in activity boxes and fun gift packs for both children and AYAs. Also know that LEGO has a therapeutic impact for patients. Working with the cubes is very good for fine motor skills and sensitivity in the fingers.

We are also currently supporting the hero cart of the SPOED department of the UZA. This is how we stop children who are briefly admitted here from getting hurt!
The wind turbine company Vleemo ("Wind for A") from the Port of Antwerp, headed by David Daggelinckx, has been supporting non-profit organisation SuperNils since its inception. This used to be done with toys for the goodie bags of SuperNilsdag, now the company has taken on the printing and development of our "Wings of Hope" information folders.

Garage Frijters from Kalmthout-Nieuwmoer has lent us a van for several years now, allowing us to realise activities such as Levensloop Schoten or a packing activity at Servier in Anderlecht, without any difficulty. Moving all the materials would otherwise have been impossible.
