Appearance
In addition to emotional consequences, cancer can also have physical consequences. The treatments may cause you to look different, which can make you feel sad or insecure.

Everyone feels insecure about their appearance from time to time. So it's perfectly normal to worry about your appearance and self-image. That doesn't mean you can accept the effects of cancer or your cancer treatment in a flash. Hair, eyelashes and eyebrows falling out, severe scarring after surgery, your skin and hair looking different, your weight changing: that's no small thing. And yet: you are still you, even if you have cancer!
