Being in hospital often brings loneliness and boredom. What do you do all day in bed? What do you do when you are allowed few or no visitors?

SuperNils wants to support you in this regard. Thanks to the tourism department of the City of Ghent (Visit Gent) and the Ghent Museums (STAM Gent, Huis van Alijn and Design Museum Gent), we can give you a virtual tour of some exhibitions. Just click on the various links below and enjoy images, sound clips and accompanying informative texts.

Free enjoyment in complete safety. Have fun!

The House of Alijn

This museum collects, researches and shares memories about traditions, rituals and customs in our daily lives from the 20th century onwards. So too about former army service. Check out the fun and interactive exhibition here.

Design Museum Ghent

Here they make you aware of the great impact design has on everyday life. Here you can see masterpieces from Van de Velde to the present day. The museum is currently closed for renovation and expansion, but here you can take a look at some great tours.

STAM is the Ghent city museum that has been telling the story of Ghent on the Bijloke site since October 2010 and makes you (even) warmer for the city. There you will discover the many layers of Ghent, a contemporary city with a centuries-old history.

City Museum's mission: as a museum, STAM explores what makes Ghent a Ghent, and the city a city. It connects people of today with history and looks to the future of the city. STAM turns residents, users and visitors into involved parties and generously enters into partnerships.

The museum offered us the links to already existing digital exhibits. Here you scroll through a wonderful collection of collectibles, prints, photos and written info. Definitely worthwhile and choice galore! Something for everyone. Highly recommended are: "Straffe pieces from the Tribe" and "Ghent, occupied city". Make your choice on the right.
