Membership recruitment 2026 runs like clockwork
We bombarded 2025 members with several emails during January, asking them to donate to SuperNils again and ask for free membership in 2026. Meanwhile, nearly 60 (out of 80) people have responded positively. For which great thanks!
But of course we don't stop here! We want to count at least 80 members again and preferably a few more. Hence this double call:
1° Members who have not yet re-registered, we ask that you please be sure to do so. Please do not let us down.
2° Members who have already subscribed can appeal to an additional person to become a member. If every member does this, we will soon have more than 100 active memberships. That would be wonderful! So please speak to a friend, colleague or family member and ask them to support our operation. Thanks in advance!
Law firm Caluwaert-Uytterhoeven
NPO SuperNils partnered with law firm Caluwaert-Uytterhoeven, in function of the development of our web application Nilspire Me. We need these people to be sure to be in line with GDPR regulations and ensure that data breaches can be prevented. Their work comes with a hefty price tag, which unfortunately is really necessary. The budget is borne by the project grants we will receive in February 2026 from The Warmest Week. Of course, it will have a possible impact on the final development of the application. But the basics MUST be in place, to avoid problems.
The firm was eventually chosen from two offers, which told the same content. So it was the price setting that made us choose Caluwaert-Uytterhoeven, a Berchem-based firm.
Our podcast
AYAmplified
During 2026, we will start recording the podcast "AYAmplified".
We will contact AYAs of Casa Callenta, the Sounding Board Group of Fight Against Cancer and the peers of FLAYA for this.
Together with these people, we will discuss their young lives, the impact of being ill and the lasting aftermath after healing. Yet we want to focus mainly on the positive message: never give up, but keep believing in it!
Project operation
Nilspire Me - web application for AYAs with cancer
This is the largest project we will develop in 2026. For this, we are working with Purple Panda as developer, Casa Callenta as partner and Caluwaert-Uytterhoeven as legal-advisor. Currently, the base has already been formed and a chat function has been included. During 2026, the legal basis will be laid and additional tools will be added, such as a personal calendar, a diary, friends' book, question guide, information tool and an AI playmate.
This will be another €100 000-plus project, for which we will obviously need additional sponsorship funds beyond DWW's project funds.
VR dance project
The first part of this project is almost complete. There are 4 films on the website and 3 films were integrated into the VR environment "The World of AYA". Patients using the VR glasses or taking a look at the website (interactive packages online) can engage with the project.
During February 2026, the fourth film will be shot and integrated into the VR environment. Furthermore, partner hospitals will be contacted to find out where MOSA teachers can effectively engage with patients. The aim is to experience a real dance afternoon with AYAs.
Meanwhile, the interim report of this project was delivered to and discussed with Foundation Against Cancer. They would like to know the effective use of this project, which is difficult to determine because SuperNils 100 % depends on input from hospitals.
SuperNils online studio
Another important project that will be developed in 2026. For this, we are working together with LuKiArt vzw from Sint-Martens-Latem.
- There will be new films by artist Nils, teaching you how to draw and sketch (expanding Sketch Workshop).
- There will be tips for learning to knit and crochet
- There will be tips to make paper flowers
- etc.
SuperNils also provides boxes with the necessary material.
In the spotlight
Our renewed website
Our renewed website is definitely worth a look.
It is clearer, airier, fresher, younger and easier to access. We have taken into account tips and comments from graphic design students (AP Hogeschool) and from professional communication and marketing students (U Antwerp).
The new house style looks nice and recognisable.

For those who have not yet put it in order ... Quickly go to our website and click on the orange button on the top left. Make a donation of at least 40 euros, indicate that you would like to become a free member and follow the further steps within the system.
Those who prefer to pay directly into our bank account should do so with the statement "donation asbl SuperNils with free membership". That way you are in order to receive a tax certificate.
Be sure to speak to other people and tell them about our operation and goals. Maybe they will also become members of SuperNils, which would be great.
