Our deliveries to hospitals and hospices
We would like to give you here an overview of all our deliveries in 2025. We visited several hospitals, one open house and the AYA operation of Come on Against Cancer. This post will be updated regularly to keep you updated on our trip.
Along these lines, we would also like to thank all our sponsors. Without them, we could not make this happen!
LEGO for the beautiful kits we could hand out to the children and young adults with cancer. Moreover, we were able to make materials available in the hospitals' family rooms and AYA rooms so that everyone could get to work with them.
VLEEMO for the beautiful folders with content. Through these folders, SuperNils will get more exposure and patients will find their way to our operation and interactive packages more easily.
FARMA COMPANIES for creating the VR case and providing materials to make lucky dolls.
STICHTING TEGEN KANKER for the project grants that enabled us to realise the VR case, among other things.
SERVIER for the fun gift packaging that makes everything a real gift!

Visit to Casa Callenta
On Saturday 11 October, we went to Casa Callenta. Mascot SuperNils was also there, much to the delight of the children present.
We provided the drop-in centre with some LEGO kits for the play corners and a VR case specifically for the AYA operation. Hopefully they will enjoy it.
Below is the drawing of an attending child ... Just to thank SuperNils for everything! ... ... ... So sweet!

Visit to UZ Gent
On Tuesday 14 October 2025, it was the turn of UZ Gent, our very first partner within the operation. Logical too, as it is at this hospital that Nils was cared for.
We were very warmly welcomed there by Marlies, Queeny and Delphine, who enthusiastically received the materials. Everything was immediately distributed to the various departments so that it could be put to use immediately.
The VR cases they already owned were updated so that they can also be officially put into use this week. In addition, they received the SuperNils folders, which can be donated to patients (AYAs) simply as a bonus. They can keep their own memories or documents in it, but the folder also provides a lot of information about SuperNils, making it easier for them to find their way to our operation and the interactive packages.
Here is another small photo impression of the deliveries at UZ Gent.

Visit CHU de Liège
Visiting non-profit organisation SuperNils' newest partner, the University Hospital of Liege, all the way across the language border. On Thursday 16 October 2025, Robert and Leona headed there, with a car loaded with wonderful materials.
We brought several LEGO kits for different age groups and for the family room in the hospital. Also, 2 VR kits and 3 motion boxes. People from the AYA team, led by Lindsay Moës, were explained about our operation and new agreements around effective cooperation were made. TOP day for our organisation!

Visit UZ Brussel
Today, Monday 20 October 2025, we drove smoothly from Kalmthout to Brussels to deliver a car full of materials to the AYA operation of this hospital.
We were met by the AYA coordinator, Natalie Hoedemaekers. She took us, with the many materials to the meeting room, where we were met by a group of 9 staff members, including Ann De Becker, Chair Hematology Department UZ Brussel, Professor of Haematology and President of BHS.
We were given ample opportunity to present our operation and display all the materials. The enthusiasm and gratitude were great. We feel that this is going to be a valuable partner, who can achieve great things together with us.
Following materials were delivered: 2 VR cases, 3 motion boxes, LEGO packages for the family rooms, LEGO for children and adults and Info folders SuperNils.

Visit UZ Antwerpen
Fine reception at UZ Antwerpen, by Emma from the UZA Foundation, Sophie from the AYA team and Juliette from the children's department. We were given ample time to explain our new VR package and present the LEGO packages.
It was clear that people were satisfied with our offer, which was immediately distributed to the different departments. From now on, the VR package can officially be put into use. And with the holidays coming up, there are already nice LEGO packages to gift to the patients in our target group.
Large LEGO boxes were also provided, which can be used in the family rooms on the ward.

Visit UZ Leuven
On 28 October 2025, we headed to UZ Leuven. A hell of a car ride there, literally through wind and weather. But how worthwhile it was!
We were warmly and warmly welcomed by Sarah and Emily from the AYA team. Together, we trekked through the large building with our carts loaded with LEGO kits and the additions for the VR cases.
For the children's department, we brought no less than 125 LEGO boxes. Nice gifts that could possibly be handed out during the holidays or if someone is having a really hard time.
For our AYAs, we carried 48 beautiful LEGO boxes. These can also be handed out during the holidays or whenever someone is in need. LEGO, by the way, has a therapeutic effect for cancer patients. Being busy with the little blocks is very good for training fine motor skills and getting rid of tingling in the fingers.
Furthermore, we had additions with us for the VR cases. Because yes, UZ Leuven already had 2 cases in use as a TEST group. We put all the new info and accessories in the boxes, so they are now the same as in the other hospitals. It was nice to see that the cases are used effectively and are even embedded in the hospital's system. Great right!

Visit ZAS Cadix Antwerp
What a fine visit already to ZAS Cadix, the brand new hospital by the stream. We were warmly welcomed by Ann Leunckens and a volunteer, who put their heart and soul into caring for the patients.
We brought them two movement cases, information folders, LEGO kits for the AYAs and LEGO boxes for the family rooms, which are definitely present here. Furthermore, the two VR cases present (Cadix was one of the test hospitals) were updated, so they now also have all new materials and manuals in their possession.
Cool also that haematologist Dr Nikki Granacher came to take a look at our wide range.
Furthermore, we had a very nice chat with the people from the AYA team and exchanged nice and new ideas. Fine collaboration!!!

AZ KLINA Brasschaat
Tuesday, 4 November 2025 ... We are ready for our next delivery. Now it is AZ Klina in Brasschaat's turn. One of the first partners of vzw SuperNils and not far from home.
For them, we brought an extra VR case (they were already test hospital for our project) and a lot of LEGO, both for the rest and family room and for the patients themselves. In the family room, parents can play quietly with their children, who come to visit. For children, this is often a difficult time. Mum or dad sick, being quiet in hospital, ... Thanks to LEGO, they can still relax and have fun. A relief for the parents AND the kids.
The separate gift packs are for the patients themselves. For them, they bring distraction, relaxation and a bit of therapy for fine motor skills. Thank you LEGO for this support!
We were again given a nice welcome at this hospital. Cool to feel the gratitude for everything we do. Thanks also to Doctor Meers for being there.

ZAS Jan Palfijn Merksem
On Thursday 6 November 2025, we travelled with a fully loaded car to one of our new partners ... The ZAS Jan Palfijn in Merksem. We were again warmly welcomed by Elke and her colleagues. Vzw SuperNils was given ample time to present the materials we had brought along and to explain their purpose. We had the following items with us: LEGO boxes for the family room, LEGO packages for the AYAs, A VR case, 2 movement cases, information folders with lucky dolls and some Talisman boxes from our partner LuKiArt vzw from Sint-Martens-Latem. The latter at the express request of the hospital itself.
The people were very happy with our offer and assured us that they would start working on it soon. One more partner effectively included in the operation. Welcome Jan Palfijn!!!
AZ Jessa Hasselt
On Friday 7 November, we were guests of AZ Jessa in Hasselt. As usual, we received a very friendly and warm welcome. Sofie, Caroline and Timmy were ready to receive all our materials. And it was quite a package after all!
First of all, thanks to our important partner LEGO, we were again able to drop off many LEGO packages, which the nurses can then distribute to the young patients. LEGO helps them to relax, but it is also very good for practising fine motor skills and to relieve some of the tingling in the fingertips.
There were also two large suitcases of LEGO bricks and two more boxes of building bricks, which can be placed in the family rooms and/or relaxation area. There, they are used for the relaxation and distraction of often young children facing serious illness in the family.
And then there were our two VR cases! For patients, the start of a journey through the World of AYA, the VR programme that non-profit organisation SuperNils had specially developed by VENAR.
It was cool to see how enthusiastically people responded to our offer. They thought along about possible new projects or initiatives and they asked additional, useful questions about the VR glasses. What a great collaboration this is! Good luck AZ Jessa!

ZAS Sint Augustinus Wilrijk
On Thursday 13 November 2025, we visited Saint Augustinus in Wilrijk. We were very warmly welcomed by Jana and people from the AYA team. The reception took place in the beautiful family room, specially equipped for young people with cancer. There you can relax and enjoy a moment in family and play with the children in the specially equipped children's corner.
Asbl SuperNils again brought a lot of material, which was received with great thanks: 2 movement cases, 2 VR cases, LEGO for the beautiful family room, LEGO to donate to the AYAs and, of course, our beautiful storage folders.
The team listened with full attention to the explanation about SuperNils. It was again incredibly nice to feel the satisfaction and gratitude. Hopefully, we can once again provide many AYAs with a moment of relaxation and distraction.
