Cabinet minister Frank Vandenbroucke
Vzw SuperNils was invited by the cabinet of Minister Frank Vandenbroucke to participate in a workshop on AYA working. This will take place in October 2025 at the premises of the Riziv in Brussels.
The cabinet member also indicated that this could be the beginning of a great collaboration. In any case, we are ready for it!
Launching "The World of AYA"
On Tuesday 9 September 2025, our VR project "The World of AYA" will be officially launched. This will take place at the premises of non-profit organisation Bielebale - Casa Callenta, Zwembadweg 5 in Brasschaat. Reception is at 12.30pm, the ceremony starts at 1pm.
Currently, 35 people are already registered + 4 who will follow the event via the Zoom link. That's great! And registrations continue until 1 September! We notice that there will be people attending from government, hospitals, non-profit organisation SuperNils, pharma companies and other sponsoring companies. Great to feel this great interest.
Our podcast
A new podcast is born!
Vzw SuperNils has quietly started recording a new podcast series especially for AYAs with cancer: AYAMPLIFIED. The trailers in Dutch and French are already online, the one in English will follow soon.
In this podcast, we engage with AYAs and listen to their stories, their feelings, their wishes and expectations. A podcast full of emotion, but so genuine, warm and valuable. Listening to others' stories can help you better assess your own situation and look positively to the future. Knowing that you are not alone is also hugely important! Hopefully, AYAMPLIFIED can help you a little with that.

Project operation
We are not standing still!
Very soon, we will launch "The World of AYA", but it doesn't stop there! The non-profit association SuperNils still has many ideas to add some colour to the lives of AYAs with cancer, to provide them with relaxation and distraction and thereby give their mental well-being a real boost. Here is an overview of the new ideas ...
- SuperNils Brain Boost Box: a suitcase full of brainteasers and smartgames, just to relax. We will talk to a specialist company for this.
- SOS SuperNils Online Studio: an extension of our Sketch Studio. We offer new films with drawing lessons, as well as lessons in crochet, knitting, making your own stop-motion film and much more. LukiArt vzw remains an important partner in this!
- Nilspire Me: an application specially designed for AYAs with cancer. This app allows them to keep their personal diary, communicate with friends and a real AI buddy, play a game, track their consultations, etc. This content was discussed with AYAs and supplemented by them.
- Challenge Box: a digital box, back on the website, with challenges for each day. Simple, fun tasks to keep in touch with family and friends, but also to just relax a bit.
- Board game with application: a board game we will design around strengths and strengths. To play with family, friends and peers.
- SuperNils Boulders: a bag with some beautiful boulders and acrylic markers. Decorate the stone, put a message on it and let it travel around the world, through family and friends.
For all these boxes, we are still looking for possible sponsors and project funds (we already submitted applications to Foundation Against Cancer and Warmest Week 2025). Some, financially feasible, boxes we will include within our own budget (Challenge Box, SuperNils Boulders).

The renewed version of the privacy policy is already online, the cookie policy will follow very soon. There may also be a new cookie banner on the website. This way, we are fully compliant with GDPR regulations.

Help requested
Levensloop Schoten 2025 - September 6 (start 3pm) and September 7 (end 3pm)
Vzw SuperNils is part of the organisation of this beautiful event in the park of Schoten. Of course, we will also be present with a stand full of information and you can talk to us about the operation and future plans. You can find us in the large inner tent on the walkers' route. We also sell delicious bread pudding and for the kids we have fun glitter tattoos.
Currently, our counter of participants is only 13. This is obviously far too few. We want to see more people walking around for team SuperNils. It costs just 10 euros to participate and you help so many sick people by doing so! After all, the money goes to the Foundation Against Cancer, who use it for research into this terrible disease, but also to support projects like those of non-profit organisation SuperNils. So the more pennies, the more support!
