Winter gin walk to benefit non-profit organisation SuperNils

On Sunday 19 January 2025, Nieuwmoer showed its warm heart! Vzw SuperNils would therefore like to thank all walkers (more than 100 !!!), who participated in the beautiful winter gin walk through the nature reserve De Maatjes.
First of all, we would like to thank the organisers, Els, Els and Lennert for this great initiative. The organisation was super! The walkers were surprised with two drink stands along the way and a cosy spot on the Bittern, near the SuperNils memory tree. Various gins, as well as apple juice and tasty pancakes went smoothly over the counter. It turned out to be a super afternoon and early evening.
Incredibly cool that the proceeds of this walk go to our organisation, non-profit organisation SuperNils from Nieuwmoer. Nils Scheltjens would have been incredibly proud that so many people want to support his organisation. We assure you that the proceeds will be spent very usefully, supporting children and young adults with cancer. We already do that in 8 hospitals in Flanders and Brussels and this year 3 more will be added, including even Liège.
Thanks again for everything!!! It was beautiful, it was fun, it was cool! Thank you Nieuwmoer and all participants also from outside our beautiful village.
