1° Sunday 30 April 2023: Kalmthout Nieuwmoer celebrated! The second village day was organised in this beautiful rural municipality and vzw SuperNils was present! And that was evident from the dozens of blue balloons on the streets!

Our stall with a tomb raffle for the children and fine scented candles for the older ones was very successful. Many people visited us and supported our work. The net result was over 200 euros. Not bad after all! See you next year on the last Sunday in April.

2° Levensloop Schoten: Still only 6 participants registered. Far too few of course. After all, we have to bridge 24 hours with our team. There should always be someone from vzw SuperNils on the track, during this period, day and night. Of course, you don't have to walk or run for 24 hours!!! If 24 people perform 1 hour each, consecutively, then we are round :). Show your good heart and sign up for Levensloop Schoten - team vzw SuperNils. Participating costs only 10 euros. Event weekend: 2-3 September 2023.

Want to sign up a group of people for team SuperNils? You can. You can then upload the details via an excel file. So you can sign up a team from your company/school/family for team SuperNils. Because TOGETHER we are much STRONGER!

3° SuperNilsdays: AZ Klina Brasschaat and UZ Gent, brace yourselves. The non-profit organisation SuperNils is coming, again with beautiful gift parcels, to give patients of the haematology departments a boost. We will be at Klina on 9 May and at UZ Gent on 11 May. See you then!

4° Tax certificates: we should get our official answer within a few days/weeks. Exciting all. Fingers crossed for a positive decision!

5° "Lossology" return day in the classrooms of Lost & Co in Lier (Gloed). 6 teachers came and got another bunch of useful information to take back to school. A successful morning with thanks to Kathleen Roskams, who once again steered everything in the right direction.

6° Vzw SuperNils wants to create a discussion group install for loved ones Of a patient with a haematological condition. People who have a family member who is ill or has died. We want to organise this discussion group in collaboration with Lost & Co. We are also still considering whether it will be one group or two different ones (still ill/deceased). We are currently still looking for sponsorship for this.

7° Sam Asaert will run our SuperNils film. Sam is a professional film-maker from Antwerp. Friday, 5 May, we will sit down together to discuss the details in more detail. We want the film (or two films) to reach our target audience, but also companies and sponsors.

8° We received nice compliments from a pharmaceutical company! Our operation is unique. We do not focus on the disease itself, but put more emphasis on living with the disease and making it as comfortable as possible (improving and supporting mental well-being). Our interactive packages should be publicised and used as widely as possible. So also outside the 6 partner hospitals. There was even talk of going beyond the borders. For this, the website should be translated and the packages should also be provided in different languages. A great idea, which we will definitely keep in mind for later!
