SuperNilsdays

A heart to heart

From 2019 to 2023, asbl SuperNils organised an annual SuperNils Day at the hospitals with which they have a cooperation agreement. They did so both for children battling leukaemia or another cancer and for adults in the onco-haematology department. The aim of this festive day was to give patients a boost and make them feel that they are not alone. Goodie bags with fun gifts and gadgets allowed them to forget their misery for a while.

SuperNils organised these SuperNils Days at UZ Antwerpen (children and adults), UZ Gent (children and adults), UZ Leuven (children and adults), AZ Klina Brasschaat (adults), AZ Delta Roeselare (adults) and AZ Jessa Hasselt (adults). They did so in cooperation with Lymphoma Cancer Association Flanders (LVV vzw) and LuKiArt vzw, two organisations that contributed financially and materially to the composition of the goodie bags.

If you were a patient in one of these hospitals, you could enjoy our visit. And if you weren't there, we certainly didn't leave you to your own devices either! You could then visit that other page of this website, where we present the interactive packages. Because these are available all year round, so you can take your mind off things and forget the misery for a bit. But you will need a password. You can ask the nursing staff or request it yourself via the button below.

From 2024, the SuperNils Days will no longer be organised, but the available resources will all be used to develop all kinds of interactive packages. After all, these will be available year-round for ALL children, adolescents and young adults with (haematological) cancer. This way, we can support more people and give mental well-being a real boost.
