Asbl SuperNils supports the mental well-being of children, adolescents and young adults with cancer and scientific research into leukaemia. Furthermore, the organisation informs these patients and all interested parties, in the broadest sense of the word.

Sustainability is also the common thread running through our operations.

Interactive boxes

Packages to use throughout the year, just to distract your mind a little. For patients in possession of a login. Request it via the "I am a patient - neighbour" page.

SuperNilsdays

These were only for our partner hospitals. Once a year, non-profit organisation SuperNils then came by with nice surprises.

From 2024, these SuperNils Days will be replaced by the interactive packages, which you can find on the right. Furthermore, we deliver a special information folder/collection box "Wings of Hope" in our partner hospitals. This is a folder packed with useful information from supporting organisations and initiatives, as well as practical tips and helplines. Moreover, the folder will include the necessary information about our interactive packages, so that every patient can easily find them. In turn, a small extra will provide the important heart to heart. The folder can also be used as a nice storage box for reminders. Patients will receive the folder at the time of their diagnosis or through the AYA coordinator.

Participation in surveys

Patients can sometimes participate in certain clinical trials. These are important for the further development of new therapies. Interested? Click through.

SuperNils fund Antwerp

With a deposit to the SuperNils Fund Antwerp, you support scientific research into leukaemia. You will also receive a tax certificate.

SuperNils fund Ghent

With a deposit to the SuperNils Fund Ghent, you support scientific research into leukaemia and immunotherapy. You will receive a tax certificate for your donation.

Better information More conscious choices

SuperNils' information folder "Wings of Hope"

Asbl SuperNils designed a beautiful information folder "Wings of Hope", which we want to give to all children and AYAs diagnosed with cancer in our partner hospitals.

Initially, the folder will be developed on 500 copies and will be distributed in a test phase at UZ Gent, AZ Delta Roeselare, ZAS Cadix and inloophuis Casa Callenta. After feedback, the folder will be fine-tuned and can be made in larger editions and distributed in all partner hospitals.

In the folder: an overview of questions you should definitely ask and links to available information, supplemented by leaflets, brochures and important forms. Information about our interactive packages and associated passwords will also be found in this folder.

Furthermore, it can be used to keep nice memories, build your own little file and archive info from the hospital. 

The folder also looks very nice, so it could become a real gadget. Thanks to VLEEMO "Wind for A" for financial support and development.

Talking groups for loved ones

Were organised in March 2024, but cancelled due to lack of interest.

At the moment, no new chat groups are planned. Should the need arise, be sure to send a message via the contact form From non-profit organisation SuperNils.

SuperNils connect

A LinkedIn group through which non-profit organisation SuperNils wanted to facilitate peer contact.

Given the strict GDPR regulations and associated administrative obligations, we have decided, in consultation with our lawyer (specialist in the field), to make this group not set up. Until now, there were no registrations either, so we are not penalising anyone at the moment.

The podcast series Support-Me brings inspiring testimonies to assist you in your life as a carer of a cancer patient.
The episodes specifically address you , because your role, as a family carer, is essential in the patient's fight against the disease. They contain valuable elements that can help extract positive insights from the disease.

Dream or reality? The non-profit organisation SuperNils wants to have a real forest planted somewhere in Flanders, just to ensure a better and cleaner world. Will you participate?

Informing yourself properly is hugely important. Never get stuck with questions, but ask your doctor. If you are well informed, it will be easier for you to weigh up certain choices and take decisions. SuperNils helps you with this detailed information page. Go through it calmly and extract what is important and useful for you. And if something is not clear, ask your medical team for additional information.
