Turf course Nieuwmoer

On Sunday 12 April 2026, the Turfkoers will again take place in Nieuwmoer, following last year's success. This time, a special race is also planned for the children. So it promises to be a wonderful and sporty day.

Be sure to come and watch. Drinks and food will be provided in the square next to the church. SuperNils will sell hamburgers, hot dogs and pancakes there. Proceeds will again go to our charity.

Everyone welcome!

Cart (n)8

Brasserie De Kar is once again organising the cycling race "the (n)8 of the Kar". This time, they are linking the sporting activity to a good cause. And that charity is vzw SuperNils.

One will auction three signed cycling jerseys and the proceeds will go to our organisation. We can use the pennies to support various projects, such as Nilspire Me and the smartgames kit.

Moreover, SuperNils will be put in touch with several major companies in the port during the event. In terms of visibility, this means a huge amount. Robert will have the chance to present the operation and engage in dialogue with a number of entrepreneurs and CEOs.

Be sure to keep 12 June 2026 free and come and have a look at Putsesteenweg 173 in Kalmthout.

Coming up ... Benefit concert SuperNils

Please keep this date clear in your diaries: 10 October 2026 (evening).
Then we give it a patch in hall PITO Stabroek (The school where Nils took classes).
His teacher Bart Van Heffen and possibly a few others will then give their best to give you a wonderful, musical evening.

We also provide a drink and a small snack.

More on this soon ... So keep following us!

Our podcast

AYAmplified ...

No news to report at the moment!

But we will definitely keep the project in mind!

Project operation

Nilspire Me ... in full development

The Nilspire Me project is currently in full development. And it promises to be a fantastic project! Nilspire Me should become the application that every AYA with cancer wants to have.

The application will consist of three components. There will be a first section where patients can design and monitor their own pathway (calendar, diary, note parameters, follow up consultations, display mood, gather information). The second section will be the social section with a chat function, possibility to contact peers and friends, a notice board to share memories. And finally, the third section will be the relaxation section. A game can be played here, various challenges will be discussed and SuperNils' offer will be highlighted.

Asbl SuperNils may come and talk about the project at Sciensano's Symposium in Brussels, on 22 April. This will give our application even more attention, the attention it deserves!

The development has been made possible by the support of The Warmest Week, as well as Rotary Heideland.

Box with Smartgames

We are looking for a supplier - designer of smartgames. After all, we are going to fill a box with various, easily decontaminated smartgames, such as Rummikub, assemble rings, etc.

This box could then be placed in the patient's room, allowing him to occupy himself again for some time.

SuperNils online studio

Right now, the people of LuKiArt vzw are busy creating the videos, in which artist Nils teaches drawing. They will be subtitled in different languages so that every patient in our target group can use them.

Within SuperNils itself, we look for various techniques, which we can also impart via videos, which people can then use to relax (knitting, crocheting, making macramé dolls, crafting paper flowers, ...).

In the spotlight

Poetry project

We like to put a spotlight on our poetry project ...

We asked some well-known people to read a poem for SuperNils. About eight people responded positively: Mona Jünger (VRT radio 2 traffic), Katrien Bové (stewardess with Brussels Airlines and known from VTM's "Welcome on Board"), Ruben Van Gucht (sports anchor at VRT and radio 2), Jelle Cleymans (singer-actor), Sabine Vermeiren (journalist), Evy Gruyaert (Stukken van mensen), Lukas Jacobs (mayor of Kalmthout) and Dis Van Berckelaer (former mayor of Borsbeek). We already received a submission from Mona Jünger and Katrien Bové, which you can listen to and watch via the link on the right.

Vera Koninckx, aunt of Nils, also sent in some beautiful poems. Definitely worth watching and listening to!

Help requested

We are still looking for new members ...

SuperNils dreams of reaching 100 members by 2026. And we are convinced this is achievable!

If each current member provides 1 additional membership, we are well above that number.

Speak to a friend or family member and ask them to donate and become a member of SuperNils asbl for free. The pennies will be well spent to further shape our general operation and develop new projects for children and young adults with cancer.

Please help us.
