Experimenting with a new corporate identity
SuperNils is experimenting with the development of a new corporate identity. New colours, different fonts and a modern, dynamic logo should raise our organisation's profile. Consistent use of these styles should ensure greater visibility and recognisability.
Students from the Graphic Design department at AP University College Antwerp researched everything for us and compiled it in a "Brand Book", which will now serve as our permanent guideline for communication.

A more efficient communication style
Students from the Master's programme in Professional Communication and Management at the University of Antwerp are working for the non-profit organisation SuperNils to improve and target communication. They explain to us which choice of words, style and form of communication we should use to achieve certain objectives. They are also looking at ways to raise the profile of our organisation and attract more interested parties. This exercise is very important in order to give SuperNils more clout and bring together a broad group of entrepreneurs around the organisation.

Our podcast

Hold on a moment!
As our ongoing and new projects, the adaptation of our corporate identity, improved communication, and the drafting of the new 2026 policy plan are currently consuming all our attention, we are putting the development of new podcast episodes on hold for the time being.
We intend to restart this in the course of 2026.
Casa Callenta can become an important partner in this regard.
So please be patient!

Project operation

Social Grant 2025
SuperNils secured its third Social Grant in a row. An independent jury from the Belgian Cancer Foundation reviewed our new project, "SuperNils Online Studio," and approved it. The requested budget of over €13,000 was granted for a period of one year. The project will be developed in 2026, in collaboration with LuKiArt vzw from Sint-Martens-Latem.
The aim is to refresh the current Sketch Studio and expand it with new videos by artist Nils. He will guide patients in learning how to draw facial expressions, landscapes, animals, etc. We will also add films to the concept, which will allow patients to engage in creative activities (knitting, crocheting, making paper flowers, making greeting cards, etc.). The project also includes the purchase of necessary materials (pencils, paper, wool, crochet hooks, etc.). These will be offered in small boxes in the hospital.

Nilspire Me – application for young adults with cancer
The "Nilspire Me" project has been launched! Thanks to funding from Casa Callenta Brasschaat (DWW 2024), we were able to start developing the first tools and features: general development, GDPR review, design, account creation, chat function. The people at Purple Panda have already done a wonderful job. We will even be able to start testing the first part soon. In 2026 (SuperNils budget DWW 2025), we will then develop the other features, such as a diary, friends book, games, a tool for recording daily parameters, a tool for monitoring medication, etc.
Because we consider security to be extremely important in the development and distribution of such a web application and we do not want to make any mistakes with regard to the strict GDPR rules, we have engaged two solicitors. Both are highly specialised in this field. For this project, we can count on the support of Glenn Fredrix (Corbus Solicitors) and Nele Somers (Arts).

In the spotlight

New partners...
SuperNils has almost reached the final goal... 16 partners in Belgium with whom we collaborate.
The following collaborations have already been realised: UZA, AZ Klina Brasschaat, ZAS Cadix Antwerp, ZAS Palfijn Merksem, ZAS Augustinus Wilrijk, Casa Callenta Brasschaat, UZ Ghent, AZ Delta Roeselare, AZ Jessa Hasselt, UZ Leuven, UZ Brussels, UZ Liège and the AYA sounding board group of KOTK.
On 24 November, the collaboration with UCL Saint-Luc in Brussels was finalised.
On 3 December, we will be talking to the Jules Bordet Institute, and a meeting with VITAZ Sint-Niklaas is scheduled for 7 January 2026.
At that point, we will have achieved our goal of 14 hospitals, 1 drop-in centre and the AYA programme run by KOTK.
In 2026, we will review whether a partnership with AZ Sint-Jan Brugge is still possible. However, that will be the last partner we can add to our database.
