Important news items
Memberships 2025 continue to rise !
Currently, our membership counter stands at 75. That is already 4 more than last month. These people deposited a donation and indicated they wanted to be members of our organisation for free. That way, they have a voice in the general membership meeting and can help shape our policies. We are convinced that this number is going to grow. And that is good, because the more members, the stronger we can present ourselves to the outside world and the more we can mean to our target group (children and AYAs with cancer). So big thanks to these 75 members!!!
Turf course Nieuwmoer
On Sunday 13 April 2025, starting at 11am, all cycling fans are expected in Kalmthout-Nieuwmoer. There, the Turfkoers will be held for Newcomers and Juniors.
Meet at the big outdoor cycling café, where you can also watch Paris-Roubaix on big screen.
Asbl SuperNils will provide delicious hamburgers and hot dogs. So be sure to stop by our stall for a bite to eat and a nice chat.
Proceeds from the hamburger stall will be donated by the organisation to non-profit organisation SuperNils, for which many thanks.

Project operation
VR project almost available
Our VR project SuperNils SuperVerse is almost ready for distribution in all our partner hospitals. The official launch is scheduled for the end of August 2025, after which patients can start enjoying the offerings: peer contact, information tower, game, 360° videos.
Dancing to relax
The development of the dance project has officially started. SuperNils, Venar and MOSA sat together for this through ZOOM. The schedule was drawn up and MOSA has already started addressing students and teachers. The first recordings have already been scheduled soon.
Within the Saint-Luc hospital in Brussels, they are already prepared to test and implement the project.
She's here ... the "Wings of Hope" folder
The "Wings of Hope" folder is a reality. We are currently working out the information that will be included in it. Soon everything will then be printed and distributed to the folders.
The first folders will be distributed to two hospitals, as a test. They will probably be the UZA and ZAS Cadix. The feedback will be followed up, after which refinement will take place and the folders will be distributed more widely.
SuperNils Application
We are currently thinking about the development of a SuperNils Application, in which young people can put and experience all kinds of things: diary, friends' book, own question box, info, AI buddy. On 10 May, we will sit down with AYA-Movement about this, to check off the needs and wishes of our target group. After that, an updated project application can be submitted to the Social Grants of Foundation Against Cancer. At the moment, we are already testing the possibilities and prices with two specialised development firms.
In the spotlight
General membership meeting 2025
On Wednesday 19 March 2025, our general membership meeting went ahead at the Strijboshof in Kalmthout. Twenty (20) people were present, 19 of whom were entitled to vote. Sixteen (16) members gave a proxy, making a total of 35 members present to vote. A great result!
People were super satisfied with the information received around our operation. It is clear that non-profit organisation SuperNils is growing and getting more and more exposure. Changing target group was the right decision, with many positive consequences.
The annual accounts were approved and the new policy plan 2025 received a unanimous positive vote.
Life Cycle Schoten 2025
For the third year in a row, vzw SuperNils is participating in the Levensloop Schoten, in the beautiful park of this municipality. Be sure to come along for one or more walking tours to benefit the charity. Block the dates in your diary (6-7 September 2025), scan the QR code and sign up for our team SuperNils. It costs only 10 euros per participant, but it means a lot for research into this terrible disease.
Also know that SuperNils is in the organisation of this Life Walk. This way, we can give something back for the project funds we receive from Foundation Against Cancer.
Help requested
Knitting hats and scarves
We are still looking for volunteers to knit hats and scarves for SuperNils. These will be sold through our webshop. The proceeds will go towards the development and further expansion of our projects.
