Vzw SuperNils had a SuperNils Metaverse developed by VENAR, a specialised company based in 's Gravenwezel.
The SuperNils environment is a huge forest, with hills, a lake, river, waterfall and various hidden places to discover. You can wander around it for a long time, each time you will find something different to enjoy. Meanwhile, the birds whistle and the leaves swirl down. In the distance, you can hear the roar of the waterfall. And the closer you get, the louder the sound gets. Just like the real thing!
There are several signposts in the forest. They show you what you can find and how to get there. If you click on the signpost, you are immediately at the chosen spot. You can discover it all yourself, just by looking around and trying it out. In the beginning it will be a bit difficult, but after a while you will be so familiar with the system that you can easily walk through the forest, from one place to another. We do like to give a important tip along! If you easily sick becomes, do NOT use the joystick on the left controller to move around, but use button A on the right controller. This way you jump from one place to another, so to speak, which is much easier for your head to follow.
We would now like to inform you a bit more about this part of the big VR package: "Dance and move with the teachers of MOSA Ballet School Liege“.
This project consists of 3 different parts.
In part 1, you can watch ordinary films of dance classes recorded at MOSA Ballet School Liege. You can do this on your computer, laptop, ipad or smartphone. From your bed or seat, you can join the dancers. You get professional explanations from MOSA's dance teachers.
At part 2 we go one step further. Now we are in our VR application SuperNils SuperVerse. You have to go to a special place in the forest. Click on the signpost and ... in a few moments you are on the dance island, where the experience can start. You will again receive instructions from the teachers and you can join in, from the bed, the sofa or just in the room.
Finally, in part 3, the teachers from MOSA Ballet School Liege come to the hospital and will move to music with you and others. This will be done in a special room and, of course, only when you are not in isolation.

TIP: make sure you have enough space around you, although you should not make any big movements. Normally, it should even work with a drip in the arm. But always be careful!
