A lucky charm "artelen"

in cooperation with LuKiArt vzw - Sint-Martens-Latem

For children aged 0 to 14

When non-profit organisation LukiArt from Sint-Martens-Latem crossed SuperNils' path, ideas started bubbling along both sides. LukiArt is a non-profit organisation that has chosen "Art tailored to the sick child" as its charity. As such, they naturally fit in perfectly with our objectives. So during a brainstorming session, the idea of the "Art box" was born, with which to create a lucky charm.

An "Art box" contains all kinds of sustainable materials, put together by the people of LuKiArt vzw. The materials were carefully selected and washed so that they do not pose any danger to the children. This was done under the supervision of a number of doctors and professors. The box also contains a card with a QR code. Through this code, the children can watch a film, in which they get the necessary explanation and inspiration, given by artists of LuKiArt vzw themselves.

The aim of this interactive box is to art a talisman (yes yes, not tinker!), which can then be hung on the bedside. From this lucky charm, the children then draw the necessary strength to keep fighting their illness. Moreover, parents, friends and family can hang all kinds of things on the talisman to give it extra strength. The picture shows one of the contrived lucky charms in advance. The bigger it gets, the more strength one will be able to draw from it.

The Talisman boxes used to be handed out during the annual SuperNils Day for children, at UZ Gent, UZ Antwerpen and UZ Leuven. But since we no longer organise these days, we looked for another way to get you such a box.

If you also want to make one of these lucky charms, you can request a box using the form below. Mum or dad can certainly give you a hand with that.

Thanks to LuKiArt vzw and vzw SuperNils, the box is free for you and will be sent to the address provided.
